Studio Project 2: The Future Of Collaborations

Here's an Alice Auaa (Fashion Brand)  x Tim Burton (Artist, Film Director) Collaboration Pitch.

The collaborations between these 2 brands have played significant roles for each of their industries in a similar way: a horror and theatre relationship.

Hence I've made a gesture towards a hypothetical reality of mashing showmanship with craftsmanship through the act of a whimsical dance.
My Target Audience based off may collaboration attracts a horror film enthusiast who implements it into their lifestyle through an art form. I have chosen dance in this case since dance utilises storytelling most of the time, and plays with body horror at times, to name Butoh more specifically. A Tim Burton enthusiast strays away from the norm and does not fear but romanticises the darker aspects of humanity. An Alice Auaa fan is expressive, feminine, wears both delicate and tough clothing as part of their personality.
My moodpboard consists of themes involving dystopia and expression of both brand similarities.
This is my proposed collection involving textile manipulation and marrying both brands together in the form of visuals, silhouettes, texture and aesthetics. I have been inspired by mainly the surrounding design of Nightmare Before Christmas and other Tim Burton films such as Corpse Bride as well as Frankenweenie.

These 5 looks were sketched on paper, scanned and rendered in photoshop.

More on my garment creative in the making process:
Since I have been tasked to produce 1 look from this collection, this is the full garment I have produced.

This photoshoot is done by me.
